Re: [californiadisasters] Tar oozes on to sidewalk, street near La Brea Tar Pits

California Disasters (which continues to be incredibly busy on Twitter & Reddit and Facebook) and is resurging a bit here of late, could not exist if I had a life and a Significant Other. My Maine Coon claims to be my Significant Other but I beg to differ. Relationships, relationshits; who needs 'em?

Nobody calls it the La Brea Asphalt Pits so folks can be forgiven for calling it tar and not asphalt. In fact, I will continue to use the term tar so as to not confuse people with the asphalt of road pavement. People who know the difference tend to be the types of people who are home alone on Friday nights..... yep, I sure am.
