A very serious wind-driven wildfire started at 11 a.m. today. The fire is moving southwest towards Redding. Shasta College is closed and evacuated. Hwy. 299E is closed. Over 300 acres have burned. For more frequent and visual and aural content follow California Disasters on Facebook and Twitter.
