2008: The Indians Fire ignited near Fort Hunter Liggett and burned 81,378 acres and two structures.
The wildfire was 100% contained on Thursday, July 10, 2008.

2005: A large dust devil developed in the city of Madera and damaged playground equipment at a park.

1998: A mix of rain and snow fell on Highway 95 between Goldfield and Tonopah, NV (east of Bishop, CA).
A funnel cloud was also reported near Lida, NV (just east of CA-NV border).


1981: Highest minimum temperature records were set each day in San Diego for six consecutive days, starting on 6.3 and ending on this day.

1950: It was 39° F in Riverside and in Santa Ana, both the lowest temperatures on record for June.

1931:
Cedarville (Surprise Valley, Modoc Co.) recorded 1.56" of precipitation.

1920: Yosemite Valley plunged to 14° F for a low temperature, coldest on record here in June.

1917:
Downtown San Francisco reported a low temperature of 46° F.
