Dates Time News and Notes 08/02/2019 1800 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,150 acres grass and brush, 95% contained (decrease in acreage due to more accurate mapping). Minimal fire behavior continues with isolated interior pockets of heat. Current Threats include Powerlines, critical Sage Grouse habitat, cultural and historic values. 08/02/2019 1800 CA-KNF Tree Fire: 83 acres grass and brush, 90% contained. Last report unless significant activity occurs. 08/02/2019 1800 CA-KNF Community Fire: 35 acres grass and oak woodland, 90% contained. Last report unless significant activity occurs. 08/02/2019 0815 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,217 acres grass and brush, 74% contained. Minimal fire was observed overnight. The fire has impacted major transmission powerlines in the area. Current threats include critical Sage Grouse habitat, cultural and historic values. 08/02/2019 0815 CA-MEU Usal Fire: 130 acres timber, 98% contained. Final report unless signifiant activity occurs. 08/01/2019 1800 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,217 acres grass and brush, 74% contained. Minimal fire continued today with isolated heat sources. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for the fire area until 8pm this evening. The fire has impacted major transmission powerlines in the area. Current threats include critical Sage Grouse habitat, cultural and historic values. 08/01/2019 1800 CA-MEU Usal Fire: 130 acres timber, 92% contained. Crews continue to mop-up in steep terrain with heavy fuels. 08/01/2019 1800 CA-KNF Tree Fire: 83 acres grass and brush, 70% contained. Incident transitioned to a type 4 management team at 0800 this morning 08/01/2019 1800 CA-KNF Community Fire: 35 acres grass and oak woodland, 70% contained. Incident transitioned to a type 4 management team at 0800 this morning 08/01/2019 0830 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,217 acres grass and brush, 51% contained. Minimal fire behavior overnight. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area today. The fire has impacted 500kV transmission powerlines. Current threats include critical Sage Grouse habitat, cultural and historic values. 08/01/2019 0830 CA-MEU Usal Fire: 130 acres timber, 85% contained. Crews continue to mop-up in steep terrain with heavy fuels. 08/01/2019 0830 CA-KNF Tree Fire: 83 acres grass and brush, 70% contained. Planned transition to a Type 4 incident command team scheduled today. 08/01/2019 0830 CA-KNF Community Fire: 35 acres grass and oak woodland, 70% contained. Planned transition to a Type 4 incident command team scheduled today. 07/31/2019 1800 CA-MDF Tucker Fire: 14,217 acres grass and brush, 30% contained. Minimal fire behavior with isolated interior pockets of heat continuing to burn. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the fire area tomorrow for strong gusty winds and low relative humidity. The fire has impacted three 500kV major transmission powerlines. The previously damaged 250kV powerline has been re-activated. Current threats include critical Sage Grouse habitat, cultural and historic values. 07/31/2019 1800 CA-MEU Usal Fire: 130 acres timber, 70% contained. Crews continue to mop-up in steep terrain with heavy fuels. 07/31/2019 1630 National Weather Service - Medford has issued a Red Flag Warning in effect from 2PM to 8PM PDT Thursday for strong gusty winds and low humidity. Effected areas include Modoc County except for the Surprise Valley area, Fire Weather Zone 285. Link
