Kincade Air Attack left the Kincade Fire a few hours ago to fly over three other fires in Tehama, Glenn, and Colusa Counties, respectively. Upon his return to reassume Kincade Air Attack he reported to operations that he had encountered 80-90 knot winds over the Sacramento Valley during his return and warned that those winds should soon be on the fire. He also listed all the divisions he expected to be overrun.
The fire is now spotting all over the place (in some instance a mile or two from the leading edge of the fire) and erratic fire behavior is being observed.
Many trees are being reported down across Lake County.
In case you missed it pretty much everything between the Kincade Fire and the Pacific Ocean is under a mandatory evacuation order as this fire holds significant potential to become a conflagration that burns to the sea. This includes the entirety of Alexander and Sonoma Valleys and the Russian River corridor and the north coastal Sonoma County.
