[CaliforniaDisasters] On This Date In California Weather History (October 25)

2010: Strong onshore winds hit Mt. Laguna (San Diego Co.) with a measured gust of 77 mph.

2004: A spotter in Aspendell (Inyo Co.) reported 7" of new snow in just over 6 hours.
An automated weather site in South Lake estimated 14" of new snow in 8 hours 

2003: Santa Ana winds started on this day and ended on 10/27.
Gusts of 56 mph were measured at Descanso, 46 mph in Anza, 45 mph in Ontario, 43 mph at Fremont Canyon, 41 mph in Beaumont, and 40 mph in Campo.
Unprecedented wildfires, including the Cedar, Paradise and Otay Fires consumed hundreds of thousands of acres, killed over 20 people and caused over one billion dollars in damage.
The Cedar Fire itself consumed 273,246 acres, destroyed over 2,800 structures and cause 15 fatalities.
Although overshadowed by the Cedar Fire, the Old Fire also began in the San Bernardino Mountains on this day, and would consume 91,281 acres and kill 6 before it was extinguished. 

1979: Redwood City received 1.5" of rain.

1940: Wettest October day in Bakersfield, with 1.51" of rain recorded.

1932: A daily record low of 12° F is recorded at Carson City, NV.

1906: The morning low temperature at Lovelock, NV was 11° F.
